Ways of Reading (2019)

Reading is undeniably a vital part of everyday life. It determines the way we think, interact, and create. However, reading has been predominantly perceived within the presence of text—one dimensionally—which limits the understanding process from certain context, content, and potential. What if reading could evoke new perspectives through some other ways?

In 2019, Indonesia was chosen as the Market Focus country for The London Book Fair 2019. In response to that, Further Reading and Dua Studio are appointed to curate a collateral design exhibition within the title of Ways of Reading, with graphic design by Each Other Company."

Instead of using text, Ways of Reading challenges the notions of reading through space and surroundings. The exhibition starts with a series of public interventions around London, and later showcases at Protein Studios along with a discussion.
